Jennifer Abubakar’s career was jumpstarted by a cover girl campaign for a prominent magazine. Five years have passed since fate decided to entangle her world with German Thomas Reinhold. They met in an online chatroom and immediately she knew she felt something for the man. He was kind, talented and thoughtful, as she described him. One weekend, Thomas decided to fly to Durban and see her. That sealed the deal for the couple. No force could corrupt their decision to live in Germany. They are expecting their first child together and Jennifer is taking a time off modeling to make room for motherhood.

With loads of free time on her hands, she decided to dabble with designing. Her first collection of maternity clothing for women of colour will be launched in spring. Her goal is to share her style with all expecting mums without any corruption on the expression of the oufits. Looking at her now, dressed in a thick coat to hide her bump, it would be safe to expect beauty in fabric.
