Joseph Chinnock is the pure definition of adventure. In fact, his job says everything about it. He works as a freelance journalist traveling all over the world for spectacular happenings, but mostly around Asia. He writes about anything. He presents the world through his eyes and helps a lot of people find out about areas they never even heard about. He writes about culture, arts, habits, environment, traditions and spirituality. Joe Chinnock is the type of individual whose work you read when you cannot afford to travel to exotic places like Asia or you hope to relocate to that part of the world. His work is the best way to find out about a new culture and traditions.
Joseph Chinnock began his amazing venture during college. He took a single trip to Nepal in the second year. He loved traveling even since he was a young student. He completed two of the most difficult treks in Asia – Everest and Annapuma. During his journey, he got to take a small course in Buddhism at a local monastery. One of the monks invited him to spend more time and learn about the local culture, therefore he ended up wasting two weeks meditating and practicing yoga, not to mention about the more comprehensive studies of Buddhism. The simplicity, kindness and ability to enjoy a simple life of those people convinced him to return and spend more time in the area.
For a lot of people, such an adventure would make a lifetime experience. It would make a great vacation during the summer or winter. At the same time, many tourists would not really bother to give up their lives in order to enjoy such a life. For a freelance worker, things are different. And Joe Chinnock makes no exception. In a constant search to find the perfect place to fit his personality, he decided that Asia is the place he wants to be in. He returned to the United States of America in a pleasant mood and with the clear belief that he should return. Once back home, he decided to change his studies and opted for a different course. He orientated towards South East Asian Studies. His dedication and ambition for this cultural continent helped him graduate Summa Cum Laude, a distinctive degree given to the most ambitious and prolific students. What happened next is pure adventure, but for Joseph Chinnock, it is his own way to live his dreams.
